Sharon Bending    PRESIDENT/CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Sharon has been designing for as long as she can remember. Whether it was taking orders for posters at the age of 8, or the interior design of her bedroom at age 13, she’s always been inspired to create. She’s turned that love into a career and started Bending Design, Inc. in 2003. Sharon has worked with a wide variety of clients, from large financial services firms to small businesses of all kinds. Her company offers an array of services from strategy and graphic design to e-communications and multimedia.

Prior to forming Bending Design, Sharon spent two years as the lead designer of electronic communications at Zurich Life, where she designed and built various B2B and B2C websites, html emails, and flash presentations for the company and its clients. She was also responsible for the graphical user interface and usability of web-based software applications.

Before joining Zurich Life, Sharon held a creative director position with Manta Media, Inc., where she was responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of all in-house projects including print, web and multimedia. Sharon also held a web designer position at Motorola, Inc., where she created various designs for product websites.

Sharon earned a B.A. in Advertising Art from Columbia College Chicago.

Susan Menconi    PROJECT MANAGER

Susan Menconi is a Project Manager at Bending Design, where she guides clients through the design and development process. She makes sure all projects run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget.

Susan has additional office management responsibilities from accounts payable and receivable to payroll and HR. She makes sure the office continues to run as a well-oiled machine.

Prior to Bending Design, Susan was an Office Manager for Lake Michigan Air Directors Consortium. She also worked with Sharon at Manta Media, Inc. for a few years where she was a Project Manager, working with clients on print, web and multimedia design projects.

Susan earned a B.A. in Business from Eastern Illinois University.

Cherylyn Bredemann    SENIOR DESIGNER

Cherylyn Bredemann is a Senior Designer at Bending Design and a welcomed addition to round out the talented team.

A 12 year veteran in the graphic design field and a life long artist, Cherylyn has developed concepts, designs and strategic marketing campaigns for a variety of clients. At prior positions including Leo Burnett Technology Group, Deforest Creative and ABS Graphics, she has worked alongside and learned from many talented people.

Cherylyn has expertise in both print and web. Her goal is to create and execute marketing materials that work together. She has created various materials for technology, health care and food clients including logo creation and identity, label design, packaging, brochures, html email campaigns, web site interfaces and flash animations.

Cherylyn earned her degree from the American Academy of Art in Chicago with concentrations in Fine Art and Graphic Design. She continued her education at the College of DuPage were her focus was Marketing and Business.
